Here is where we began the design of our virtual set.
Our original plan was to shoot the show on green screen and build a 3D virtual set. This was to save on the expense and storage time for a real set. And thankfully, we pulled it off.
The design evolved over weeks of work.
The first green screen set mock-up.
Adding set elements to the layout.
And more elements.
Now we move into the final set layout with furniture positions & camera angles.
We will use 3 cameras for this first shoot and each one has to have a matching virtual camera angle created on the virtual set.
These have to match the camera set-up & lighting perfectly so everything looks right & real.
Then we tell the director and director of photography (DP) how to set everything up so the lighting will be right and the furniture positions will be right for each camera.
